ICEF Master’s Programme: 10 Years of Success
The ICEF Master’s Programme in Financial Economics, which was launched in September 2007 with the support of several Russian and international corporate donors, turns 10 this year. Below, the programme’s Academic Supervisor Maksim Nikitin discusses some of the achievements the programme has made over the last decade, as well as some of the changes that will be implemented over the next academic year.

HSE Students Win International D&AD New Blood Contest
Anna Dmitrieva and Sophia Verlina, third-year students at the HSE Art and Design School (curators Stefan Lashko and Ivan Yakushev) have been recognized as winners in the international design competition D&AD New Blood. They will receive their awards on June 6, 2017.

Google announced the recepients of its several scholarship programs, including the Women Techmakers Scholarship (formerly the Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship). The number of people subscribing to HSE’s online courses on Coursera, one of the world’s most popular online learning platforms, has reached 1 million. Users represent nearly the entire globe, with HSE courses being taken in nearly 200 countries.

HSE Students Win International Competition in Computer Security
Team HSE has taken second place at RuCTF - a leading information security competition. The championship was held in Ekaterinburg on April 14-17, 2017. RuCTF (‘Capture the Flag’) is an annual open all-Russian interuniversity competition and conference on information security. The event has been held annually since 2008.
