On October 28, the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) held a meeting to announce the results of elections of new members: 176 scholars were selected as academicians, and 323 scholars as corresponding members. HSE researchers are among the new RAS members.

Russian President Recognizes Work Done by Sergey Karaganov and Tamara Morshchakova
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an executive order on recognizing almost 200 Russians for their achievements in the workplace, many years of conscientious work, and active role taken in society. Sergey Karaganov Is Appointed to the Panel of Eminent Persons on European Security as a Common Project
Chairman of the OSCE, Switzerland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Didier Burkhalter proposed that Sergey A. Karaganov, Dean of HSE’s Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs and Honorable Chairman of the Presidium of the Council for Foreign and Defence Policy, should be included in the High-level Panel of Eminent Persons on European Security as a Common Project. The Panel’s first working meeting will be at the Munich Security Conference in February this year.
